ABA Burn Camp SIG Welcomes Bob Ditter M.Ed., LCSW
The International Association of Burn Camps welcomes you to attend the upcoming ABA Burn Camp SIG Monday, March 24 3:00-6:00 PM (room locations will be noted in the annual meeting program book). Our goal is to present the benefits of building Psyche/Social Team at your Burn Camp. Guest speaker, Bob Ditter, M.Ed., LCSW, is a well-regarded child, adolescent and family therapist from Boston, Massachusetts. He is a nationally recognized trainer and consultant and works with organizations that work with young people.
His focus for our group will be:
Communication with Campers (and training the staff)
The 4 Most Common Mistakes adults make with children
Critical Non-verbal communication with Campers
Consequences and creative ways of managing child behavior
What other creative techniques we can use at camp to manage camper behavior
What is Special and Healing about Camp from a social-emotional perspective and from the perspective of brain science; and what makes it an ideal setting for a special needs population.
