For many of us, we never thought we might be in these shoes. We are doers, we make things happen – whether it is adapting archery for a camper without fingers or helping a camper with an amputee up a rock wall; burn camp professionals make the impossible … possible. That’s exactly why COVID-19 has impacted what we know and how we do camp.
However, we are better together than alone, thus the IABC Board of Directors is excited to provide you with a free online burn camp presentation regarding COVID-19 and the impact on Burn Camp Programming. We hope this will make it easier for you to get the support you need in a convenient format.
Join us this Friday, April 17th, 2020 at 12:00pm PST. Please send your RSVP to iaburncamps@gmail and we’ll send you the login information.
This presentation will address:
- Policies and Procedures to consider in regards to Covid-19
- Emotional Impact of COVID-19 on burn survivor youth
- Adapting and modifying what we know in terms of camp (Virtual Programming)
Can’t make the presentation? Don’t worry, we will be recording this session and it will be found on the IABC website soon!
